Everett Raymond Shaw left his earthly home on Aug. 12, 2018, at the age of 77. A memorial service in honor of Ray’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at 2 p.m., with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. A gathering of Ray’s family and friends will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until the time of his service at 2 p.m. Ray will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery following his service. Ray was born in Pine Island to the late Everett C. Shaw and Mary Eula Kratzer Shaw on Dec. 21, 1940. He was a true outdoorsman in every sense of the word.
