LACASSINE – The No. 4-ranked Lacassine Cardinals continued their dominance of district 6-B Tuesday night with a big, 88-54 win over the Midland Rebels at Juneau Gymnasium. Lacassine kept their winning streak alive at 19 games in a row, and moved their district record out to a perfect 9-0. The Cards already clinched the league title, and will attempt to finish the district slate unbeaten when they travel to Opelousas tonight to take on J.S. Clark. The Cardinals will also be attempting to hit the 30-win mark for the season and move their winning streak to an astounding 20 games. Lacassine placed five players in double figures against Midland, with senior Santiago Valencia leading the way with 22 tallies.
