The Jennings Bulldogs made it four in a row here yesterday by sweeping a doubleheader from the David Thibodeaux Bulldogs at Danny Reed Field. The Dogs won both games via the 10-run rule at 10-0 and improved their record to 10-5 on the season. The Dogs were back in action again on Friday when they traveled to Lafayette to face the same Bulldogs in the third game of their series.

CROWLEY — The Jennings Bulldogs baseball team picked up their second win in a row on Tuesday as they defeated the Crowley Gents by a final of 15-3 at Miller Stadium. The Dogs pounded out 12 hits and played error –free baseball the entire contest. Colson Mack swung the magic stick for the Dogs in the big win as he collected four hits in five trips to the plate. He also drove in four, while John Mason Futch picked up the win on the mound by going three innings and not allowing a hit or a run. Addison Finley tossed three innings out of the bullpen and only allowed three runs, while Tyler Guidry came in to finish things off with a scoreless inning.

HICKS — The Jennings Bulldogs won their second consecutive contest here Thursday by topping a good Vinton Lions team by a final of 4-1. The Bulldogs used excellent pitching by sophomore J.J. Benoit, and timely hitting to walk out of the game with the win. The Dogs were back in action on Saturday in the Hicks Tournament when they took on Pitkin and Hicks in a double- header. The Dogs built a 3-0 advantage through the first two frames and then leaned on the pitching of Benoit to get them through the back half of the ball game. Benoit went all seven frames and allowed only one unearned run and struck out six. The Bulldog bats only collected four hits, but they were timely knocks. Max Hebert led the way with a 1-3 night and collected a pair of runs driven in. Tannum Bonin, Benoit and Hudson Dupuis all collected knocks for the Bulldogs in the contest.
