The Jennings boys’ basketball team hosted the Franklinton Demons in the bi-district round of the playoffs Friday night. The No. 20 Demons led 9-8 in the first period, then the No.13 Bulldogs would lead 33-23 at halftime. Jennings would dominate the second half as they outscored Franklinton 39-17 and cruised on to an easy 72-40 win. Franklinton took a 2-0 lead, then a Sterling Guillory trey made it 3-2. A trey by DK Sams gave Jennings an 8-4 lead, then an Avery Brumfield trey gave the Demons a 9-8 lead at the 3:30 mark. An Azire Simon trey and a pair of Jeremy LeGros baskets would give Jennings a 15-10 lead at the end of the first period.
