A Baton Rouge woman is currently in custody for stealing over $25,000 in cash from a residence in Jennings.
On Oct. 23, Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Chris Ivey said deputies were called out to a residence located on U.S. 90 East in reference to a theft.
A woman was observed entering the home and leaving five minutes later.
“Deputies were advised that a theft had occurred at the residence and workers had witnessed the person who entered the residence,” Ivey said.
The victim reported over $25,000 cash taken from the residence.
