Assistant Superintendent of Schools John Hall said the district is seeing a higher number of quarantined students since high schoolers returned to classes fulltime, but he said those numbers were expected.
“On a daily basis, across all grades, kids are being sent home,” he added. “They can come back after seven days if they have a negative COVID test.”
There have been no increases in positive cases in elementary and junior high schools. Cases at Lacassine High School began spiking last week, Hall said, which the central office has been closely monitoring.
