The Jennings Bulldogs came so close to earning their first win of the season Friday night but fell 28-27 to the DeRidder Dragons. The Dogs held a late 27-22 lead over DeRidder, however a late Dragon score gave the guests a one-point victory at Jerry Simmons Stadium. With the win, the Dragons improved to 2-1, while the Dogs dropped to 0-3.
DeRidder struck first in their opening possession when they used a 51-yard scoring run to go up 7-0.
Jennings answered right back when Trevor Etienne plowed into the end zone to knot the game at 7-7.
