PORT FOURCHON, La. (AP) — Photos show what appears to be a miles-long oil slick near an offshore rig in the Gulf of Mexico after Hurricane Ida, according to aerial survey imagery released Wednesday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and reviewed by The Associated Press.

The Jennings Bulldogs will kick off their 2021 regular season tonight after a murderous preseason slate that saw the Dogs battle 5A powers Barbe and John Curtis to open the season. Now, Jennings face the 4A Leesville Wampus Cats at Jerry Simmons Stadium to open the non-district slate in a game that has become a highly competitive one over the last two seasons. Leesville won the 2019 season opener 48-41 in overtime, while the Dogs defeated the Wampus Cats 56-41 in an epic comeback a season ago. Jennings leads the overall series 17-4 dating back to 1934.
