BELL CITY – The Lacassine Cardinals put on a shooting exhibition in the opening game of the Bell City Bruin Tournament on Thursday by nailing down a whopping 17 3-pointers, and claiming a 91-48 blowout win over Starks. Kane Broussard and Aaron Garcia combined to drill 13 long-range jumpers, and scored 58 of the Cards 91 points. Broussard scorched the nets by hitting nine 3-balls on his own, and ended with a 30-point showing. Garcia knocked down four from distance, and ended his evening with 28 tallies. Lacassine moved their impressive overall mark to 10-3 on the season with the win. They took on Sulphur in their second game of the tournament on Friday afternoon.
