Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Lloyd Guidry, Sr., 92, of Jennings will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, July 29, 2022, in Miguez Funeral Home, with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating.
In the Wednesday, July 27 edition of Jennings Daily News, two candidates were omitted in error from the final list of candidates that qualified to run in the race for Jeff Davis School Board member in the Nov. 8, 2022 election. Blake Frey qualified to run for District 12 school board member and Maddie Dugas Brassell qualified for District 13 school board member.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) Police Jury discussed the necessity of hiring an engineering firm to represent the parish for the procurement of funds for all Water Sector projects throughout all JDP water districts.
