DEQUINCY – In a game that has come down to three points over the last two seasons, this contest had all the billing of another major struggle from the Lake Arthur Tigers (LA) and the DeQuincy Tigers (DQ). Although DQ only led 14-7 going into the intermission, the homestanding Tigers erupted for 17 points in the second half to take a 31-14 win in a key non-district battle. The Tigers did show some bright spots on the offensive side of the football, as quarterback Cam Bonin tossed the pigskin for a whopping 217 yards and a pair of TD’s, while piling their way to 276 total yards of offense. DeQuincy was able to roll up 338 yards of offense, with most of it coming on the ground.
