BATON ROUGE — No. 7 LSU is set to begin SEC play tonight at 8 p.m. CT in the PMAC when it hosts Missouri on the SEC Network for the first game of the new year.
The Jennings Bulldogs claimed a Jeff Davis Parish win over the Hathaway Hornets on Friday night at Gaudet Gymnasium by a final of 89-64. The Dogs moved to 9-4 with the win and currently sit at No. 10 in the latest Division II non-select power ratings. The Bulldogs placed five players in double figures, led by Jeremy Legros’ 19 tallies. Hathaway placed three in double digits, led by Brennon Monceaux’s 19.
TAMPA, Fla. — Backed into their own end zone, redshirt sophomore quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the LSU offense orchestrated an eight-play, 98-yard drive to beat Wisconsin, 35-31, in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Monday.
The Jennings Lady Bulldogs hosted the Hathaway Lady Hornets last week in the final game of 2023 for both teams. With former Lady Bulldog standout Jaylen Johnson now the Lady Hornets’ Head Coach, Hathaway cruised on to a 61-37 win over Jennings.
