BELL CITY — The Lacassine Cardinals kept their winning ways going last week as they traveled to Bell City and left with a 78-43 win over the Bruins. The No. 2-ranked Cards moved their sparkling record out to 28-1 on the season, 2-0 in league play. Bell City dropped to 7-12 overall on the season with the lopsided loss. The Cardinals placed four players in double figures, while knocking down 12 3-point buckets in the contest. Alexx Thomas led the way for Lacassine by pumping in a game-high 26 points, including four of the 12 3-point missiles. Lacassine was set to be back in action on Tuesday night when they took on the Hathaway Hornets in a big Jeff Davis Parish showdown.
