November is National Diabetes Month, a time to not only educate ourselves on the types of diabetes affecting society, but also learn how we can better care for our bodies in hopes of avoiding certain types of diabetes.

Jennings High School will celebrate Homecoming Festivities beginning with the annual Homecoming Parade starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12 with the lineup beginning at James Ward Elementary School. Serving as Parade Marshals are Lola Louviere and Donna Moore, retired educators of JHS. Following the parade is the community pep rally at Jerry Simmons stadium with a start time of 6 p.m., weather permitting.
