DAR Holds Annual Program

Acadia Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Regent and Veterans Chairman Charlene Lacombe held their annual program at Mike’s Seafood and Steakhouse in Jennings on Nov 9. Dwayne Guidry, the director of the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery was the guest speaker. Chaplain Denise Arnard gave the blessing for the meal. After the meal, the group toured the cemetery. Plant to receive tax break on expansion

ROANOKE — A galvanizing plant in Jennings received a thumbs up from parish officials on an industrial tax exemption for an expansion expected to create nearly 30 jobs, as well as increase tax revenues.
