Last week the state announced that the shoulders at four exits off I-10 in Jeff Davis Parish would see closures this week to allow state crews to allow to install Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) equipment. However, due to the predicted winter weather, those closures have been canceled until a later date. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced Dec. 15 that the westbound outside shoulder at the La. 97 exit in Jennings would be closed, in Roanoke, the westbound outside shoulder at the La. 395 exit would be closed Tuesday, Dec. 20. In Welsh, westbound outside shoulder at the La. 99 exit would have been closed Wednesday, Dec. 21 and lastly, the eastbound outside shoulder at the La. 101 exit in Lacassine was supposed to be closed on Thursday, Dec. 22.
