Area residents gathered under the Officer Shannon Brown Memorial Pavilion in Fenton for the first annual Shannon Brown Sauce Cook Off. Ten teams from Jeff Davis Parish and the surrounding communities, including “Chef Q” and “Chef David” of the Coushatta Casino Resort and Eric Johnson, Sr., competed to see who would named top sauce chef. The event was held in honor of fallen Fenton Police Officer Shannon Brown.
