One of the biggest goals of any young athlete is having his or her dream of playing sports on the collegiate level from a young age come to fruition, however few ever see that dream of coming true. This past Wednesday marked one of the most exciting times for college football teams across the country, with National Signing Day allowing teams to see their future stars choose their college destinations. A signed National Letter of Intent (NLI) seals the deal for the athletes that do see those dreams come to fruition. For Elton High School senior running back Damarcus Jack, National Signing Day served as his first step of fulfilling those lifelong dreams. Jack was among 19 elite football players in Southwest Louisiana to sign, and the only one from Jeff Davis Parish to make his choice official. Jack officially accepted an offer from Carolina Christian College (CCC), where he will start his new chapter in his football career as a Centurion running back.
