LAKE ARTHUR — The Lake Arthur Lady Tigers added another district win to their dazzling record here Tuesday night at “Nookie” Moore Gymnasium by pummeling the DeQuincy Lady Tigers by a final of 77-11. Lake Arthur is currently sitting at No. 4 in the state in Division IV with an overall mark of 24-4, 7-0 in district 5-2A play. The Lady Tigers got a huge effort from Vivian Sketoe and Avery Marcantel, who combined to score 48 points and hit 11 3-point buckets in the win. Sketoe pumped in 25 and seven triples, while Marcantel totaled 23 points and four treys. The Lady Tigers jumped out to a commanding 37-2 advantage after the first period with a huge scoring barrage from Sketoe. The senior guard pumped in 19 points in the first on five 3-pointers, while Marcantel had a productive first with her 10 and a trifecta. Mia Klein and Ella Istre both chipped in four in the first for Lake Arthur.
