I’M JUST SAYIN’
As we crept closer to the Texas state line via Interstate 10, the roadway began to look and feel like it had been part of a war zone.
“It’s like Louisiana gave up and decided Texas could take it from here,” I told my father, my passenger that day.
He then listed the names of several state and federal incumbents and candidates who are currently vying for office.
“They said if they win the election, they’re going to fix the roads and replace the I-10 bridge in Lake Charles,” Dad said.
