Though you will probably not see this until it’s over, I sit here putting these thoughts together on Election Day. Not sure Election Day is the proper terminology anymore because the losing candidates/parties will claim for eternity that the other side rigged/stole/vandalized the voting and the majority/minority should have won.

Credeur explains JHS football cancellation

The Jennings Bulldogs and Lake Charles College Prep (LCCP) Trailblazers were set to play one of the most intriguing prep football contests throughout the entire state this week. With both teams being unbeaten, it had been billed as the Game of the Week around the Southwest Louisiana area. However, due to a player from Jennings’ prior opponent Leesville showing severe symptoms of possible COVID, among other issues, LCCP chose to pursue another opponent after Jennings High officials informed them of the issues at hand. Jeff Davis Parish Superintendent of Schools Kirk Credeur spoke to Jennings Daily News, and gave information on the process, actions and his thoughts on the situation.

PJ: Parish debris removal 40 percent complete

The company hired by the parish to complete debris removal reports that they are 40 percent complete with the project.

Dog defense forces four turnovers in win over Leesville

The Jennings Bulldog defense used a bend but don’t break mentality against an extremely talented Leesville Wampus Cat offensive unit last Friday night. The Wampus Cats were able to roll up over 500 yards of total offense against the Bulldogs, however when it mattered most, the Dogs made the plays they needed to secure victory.

This was a quote tweeted out by KPLC’s Brady Renard After Friday night’s win in Leesville. How true it is. I have never seen a team that can scratch and fight their way out of a hole like the 2020 version of the Jennings Bulldogs. They are both maddening and exciting. They give up big plays and make even bigger plays. They have proven time and again the cliché that “It ain’t over till it’s over.”
